Striped Shorts/ Picks of the Week

Shirt: Forever 21, Shorts: Anthropologie, Jean Jacket: the Gap, Boots: Nordstrom, Scarf: H&M, Watch:
Nordstrom, Earrings: Mom's

Spring is inching closer with each passing week. I used to be firmly against hot weather, but I got these shorts, and I'm reevaluating that opinion :).

Picks Of The Week

Movie: The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Included lots of cheers, heart grabs (when both hands fly to your heart because your emotions might spill out otherwise), tears, Elijah Wood, and Legolas (my sister's lover).
Game: Bananagrams. It's like Scrabble for the short attention-spanned lot of us.
Song: Blessed Be Your Name by Matt Papa
Food: Hawaiian pizza and The Lion King sushi roll
Awkward Moment: When the class goes into groups and your friends pair up with their better friends and you're just kinda standing there thinking, "Oh crap. People are probably looking and saying 'Loser/Loner'," but you play it cool and try to make conversation with the people around you and it comes out super forced like, "So...Whhhaat's up? (awkward giggles to fill the quiet)". Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Don't play it like you don't!
Blessing: Over the weekend I went and saw a couple friends, Danielle and Allie, in a dance competition. They were so beautiful. They did great modern/lyrical numbers and blew me away.
Little Life Pleasures: the smell of fresh chocolate chip cookies. Oh yeahhh!

Happy Word Of The Day: Grinning

  2. Uncle Peter’s Picks of the Week

Movie: “Some Like it Hot.” A classic comedy with lots of thrilling tension from dangerous gangsters in Chicago and a Florida beach resort. Marilyn Monroe at the peak of her career. And, the very last line says it all!

Game: “Zoom, Schwartz, Profigliano” Originally a U.S. Navy drinking game, but can be played with non-drinkers just for fun. Sharpens the powers of concentration.

Song: “Let it Be Me” by the Everly Brothers. Simple, but beautiful and romantic. Wonderful harmony by the bro’s.

Food: Hot dog on a toasted hamburger bun with cheese and a slice of tomato; with tapioca pudding. (because Aunt Kitty is away at a conference and I’m making my own dinners --- she doesn’t like tapioca, so I’ve only had it twice in the last 10 years).

Awkward Moment: When I got caught in a revolving door at a Marriott Hotel and the door edge clunked into the release pin on my artificial leg..and the leg came off! I got knocked to the ground outside the door, while my right leg got pushed into the lobby. Very unusual and bizarre. But, some nice peole (not the hotel staff) helped me put myself back together.
